Cinderella at the Playhouse.

I love a Pantomime but I don't really like reviewing them, reason being I think it spoils it if you are going yourself and I tell you the whole story! So I am going to keep this short and sweet but start by saying you must go...

We go to the playhouse Panto every year and always love it but this year it really stepped up and somehow everything felt new. From the amazing costumes to the music and fantastic dance routines it was just on point and so funny. I loved Ray Quinn in Dancing on Ice and as this years star and Prince Charming he didn't disappoint. In fact all the actors were top notch even coming into the audience....just you wait!

The classic Ghostbusters scene was still just as funny, my boys always LOVE this and Oscar was screaming at the top of his lungs. We all laughed, clapped, booed and hissed....Oh no we didn't....oh yes we did ha! Sorry couldn't resist. I would definitely highly recommend going to see this show. It was so much fun and the best way to get into the Christmas spirit.

In the know.

As I said I won't spoil it so will just tell you the info you need wether you have tickets already or are booking them quick!

The show is running from 2nd December 2016 - 7th January 2018

The Whitley Bay Playhouse situated on the iconic seafront has had an extensive make over since the days I used to go and watch the Gang show and it is really special. Most importantly the bar is well stocked if like me you fancy a cheeky tipple, well it is Christmas.

There is also a cinema style variety of yummy snacks like nachos, hotdogs, pop corn and ice creams in the intervals too. As well as a selection of glow stick light sabre, fairy wand things from £5 and programmes in the lobby.

There are various times but we went on a Saturday to the 4pm showing which suited us perfectly, it was nice because we arrived early and had a little walk along the seafront first for a bit of pre show fresh air.

Prices start from £23 and there are discounts for family or group bookings.

There is a huge car park and free street parking adjacent to the theatre. We had no problem parking put it that way. Monkseaton Metro is about a 10min walk up the road away too.

There is no photography or filming in the the theatre performance but there are opportunitys to meet the cast after and if you are really lucky get a cheeky selfie! Everyone is so friendly.

Get there a little early, have a drink and soak in the merry atmosphere. There was a youth group at the showing we attended, all wearing Christmas jumpers and their excitement was infectious.
