Brownies Recipe.

Who doesn't love Brownies?! I made this recipe years ago and it is still a very firm favourite. The MEGA loaded top and peanut butter version is below but today I decided to go plain brownie with a kinder top...the only danger is trying not to eat the full batch. Ideal with a cuppa, or a pressie.

Ingredients:

200g Dark Chocolate
175g Butter
325g Caster Sugar
130g Plain Flour
3 Eggs (Whisked in a cup)

Grease and Line a baking tin  with grease proof paper, I used a 20x20 cm but a bit bigger will do, just makes thinner brownies.

1. Preheat the oven to 170C

2. Put a glass bowl over a pan, with about an inch of simmering        water.

3. Melt the chocolate and butter.

4. When its all melted. Take the bowl off the pan and add the SUGAR,    stir well.

5. Add the FLOUR, stir well.

6. Add the egg, combine everything and pour the mixture into a tin.

7. THIS is the stage where you can put creme eggs in the tops or choc chips etc.

If not just bake for about 35mins. It still should be a bit undercooked and will firm up afterwards.

8. Leave to cool in the tin. Run a knife around the edge and put it    on a cooling rack to completely cool down.

9. Yummy on its own or decorate however you wish. I drizzled chocolate and mini kinder eggs here.

Cut into pieces...try not to eat it all in one go!

Loaded Brownie

PLEASE NOTE this recipe is for a 20x20cm Tin but today (in this picture I made 1 and half the below amount as we had a lot of people over that day.

When completely cool melt around 200g of chocolate and pour on the top decorate with any kind of chocolates, sweets and or cookies.

PEANUT BUTTER VERSION.

ADD to above ingredients.

2 heaped Tbsp of Peanut Butter
Peanut M and Ms
White Chocolate Chips.

Warm the peanut butter for 20secs in a microwave and drop blobs      equally into the brownie mixture just before the oven. Using a cocktail stick swirl it all around, making a marble effect.

7. Scatter as many M and Ms and choc chips as you like over the        top.

Bake as normal for about 40mins, It still should be a bit undercooked and will firm up afterwards.
