Slow Cooker Fudge! #recipe

Not many people can say a slow cooker changed their life but I really can ha! A Slow Cooker Hot Chocolate blog which out the blue went totally viral - Have I thanked you all enough for that?! Thank you!!! - it has given me experiences I never imagined and did no end of good for my little old blog. Sooo I'm always trying to pay it back by trying new, amazing and sometimes cool recipes in it. This is one.

Christmas Cake Recipe

It's a myth that you have to make a Christmas cake months in advance.

There. I said it. It's out there.

I can hear professional foodies shuddering but it's the truth to me. I have made this cake hundreds of times and I truly can't tell the difference if it's been made for months or days ago - I have made it 3 days before it was needed, for a friend and it was still delicious. So fear not if you haven't made yours.

 Lets do this.

No bake, Christmas treat's!

I LOVE baking it’s my biggest hobby but there are so many Christmas occasions where I’m normally asked to bake something.... namely the school fayre. So I thought of a little cheat way to still give some festive treats.

Baked Camembert #recipe

It's that time of year again where the weather is HOPEFULLY warmer and picky food is king. This is one of my most popular posts ever. Simple, cheap and delicious so I had to share. It only cost me £2.25 but fed 8 (more with other picky bits) and oh man it's amazing.....

Malteser Tray bake.

This DELICIOUS tray bake is made by a very special lady called Thelma...awesome name I know. I first came across it when she made a lovely batch for our Christmas school fayre and it is honestly one of the best thing's I have ever eaten....big statement right? but seriously true. I had to hunt her down and beg her for the recipe...who wants a summer bod anyway?!

Hot Chocolate Station! #recipe

We had a few of the neighbours over last night for a little Bonfire party and via group chat I knew the grown ups were covered for wine but I wanted something special for the kids to drink. What is better than Hot Chocolate with all the trimmings on a winter night though, right?! I honestly haven't tasted better than this either if I do say so myself.

Black Forest Cake. #recipe

My mum had a party the other day and I was put in charge of dessert, "Something with cream". I'm not a meringue fan and I hate trifle...I think it's the jelly so I decided to make a cream cake.

Pulled Chicken Heaven

I always watch these programmes on how not to waste food and it amazes me when people throw away whole unopened packets of stuff and while I'm pretty good I have to say if anything catches me out its CHICKEN. It has about a 3 minute window on it's sell by date and obvs I alwayyys forget to check the date in the shop however, this is my go to when its got seconds left before poisoning us all and it's soooo nice I had to share. Obvs you can use fresh chicken it doesn't have to be on its last legs.

Peanut Butter Sand Dollars.

I LOVE peanut butter! In fact would question the character of anyone that doesn't...if you're allergic I will let you off though. When we were living in Texas these types of cookies are very popular in bakery's and shops, they call them different names but my absolute favourite term is "Sand Dollars" because they look like the crumbly circle shells you get at the beach. So that's why I have named these 'Peanut butter Sand Dollars' ...even if they are technically cookies.

Bacon wrapped, crab stuffed jalapeños.

Say that fast 3 times, even the title though....OH Momma right.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake!

Custard Cream Cake. #recipe

I love a Custard Cream...who doesn't actually?! However I do have a special relationship with them, as they were my go to snack with both my babies. At 2am when you cant remember what sleep is, with a unsettled baby there is nothing better with a cuppa. It truly gives me good memory's so I wanted to create a cake them and when the school said they were having a bake sale....perfect testers.

Gin and Tonic Cupcakes and a Cake #recipe

These have been so popular I have had to blog it again, I also made a cake version last week from my friend who love's gin and needed a treat. I think cakes are quicker to make or less faff anyway but the choice is upto you...

Mulled Wine Recipe #slowcooker

After the phenomenon of 'The Hot Chocolate Station' where I also mentioned my Mulled Wine in the slow cooker, I was inundated for the recipe. Thank you so much everyone for all the interest and here it is...

This is perfect in a slow cooker because it keeps it warm with out having to keep turning the hob up and down or fussing with it at a party for example AND more importantly it doesn't burn off the alcohol!
