Nothing says Christmas or Magic more than twinkly lights so if you want a bit of magic before Christmas, get yourself along to Alnwick Gardens there is hundreds...
They have an incredible light show by the company Enchanted Places who do amazing light shows all over the UK including Buckingham Palace and more locally the Durham Lumiere. A Christmas Tale -an enchanting family experience, Is running every night until the 23rd December.

We bombed up straight after the last day of school and sang Christmas song all the way, perfect way to kick of the Christmas break.
We arrived and parked in their adjacent car park for £3, it was so close and no hassle at all so great value, we thought.
The kids were starving as always and there is a delicious smelling Fish and Chip shop on site but we already had plans to have a pub supper on the way home so a quick cup of tea and a mince pie in the cafe to keep us going and we set off.
One of the many guides cleverly all wrapped in lights, gave us some information and we heading along the trail stopping at all the different parts; the kids were totally mesmerised instantly.
The music and smoke machines were quite spooky and I thought our 3yr old would be scared but the lights were so amazing he didn't care. It was also really interactive as well with actors, singers, making wishes and spells along the way.

Session length is not limited but the full trail will last approximately one hour.
The boys completely loved it and totally got into it telling the nasty sorcerer off! I don't want to spoil the rest so I will let the pictures talk.

We really enjoyed it, good value for money too so get along for some Christmas spirit, literally...if you know the right spell.
